Like @Ryujin mentioned it could be pneumonia, which can be pretty scary by itself. From personal experience, my whole family and I got Covid and no one had a cough. Except for me. I had a nasty, wracking cough that we got checked, discovered it was pneumonia, and needed steroids to get cleared...

What struck me as genuinely awesome was the role of Cranchus in the selection of the party. Cranchus had become one with Abernia. Cranchus tried to speak to people, but the only person who could hear was Abernathy. Abernathy got the names of the party from Abernia/Cranchus. And all this happened...
