Critical Role Reveals Soldiers' Table and Motivations

Not having watched much Critical Role before this season, I'm kind of curious about all the tablets being used. Do they all use D&D Beyond or something for their characters?

Critical Role Reveals Soldiers' Table and Motivations

I think you might still be able to get a free month by using the code OVERTURE during sign-up. That'll, at least, get you a chance to watch a couple more Cooldowns to see how much you like them.

Critical Role Reveals Soldiers' Table and Motivations

The Cooldowns, so far, have been incredible adjuncts to the main material presented in the show. It's also kind of fun getting to watch all the cast members stand around and discuss what just happened OOC. Along with being able to watch the episodes at my leisure makes it worth the subscription.

Critical Role Campaign 4, Episode 2: Celestial Horrors and Powerful Houses Emerge as Potential Threats

My gaming group (five people with me included) have always been aware of Critical Role but have never really sat down and watched any episodes. Sure, we caught some youtube clips here and there, but never the full experience. We are now fully invested in Season 4 (well, four out of five of us...

Sword World to Get Official English Translation

I have not, I didn't even get any sort of confirmation. Wonder if they're doing it manually?

Studio Agate Takes Over 7th Sea From Chaosium

Maybe we should help them along by pointing out systems that have done justice to Swashbuckling play and suggest why they'd be good for 7th Sea. I'd guess that we'd need to consider magic systems as well. Are there any systems out there right now that would do 7th Sea perfectly in your eyes?

    The Daggerheart Inspirational Thread [+]

Through three sessions it hasn't been an issue for our group. All of the players make it a point to ensure that everyone has a turn and feels involved. A couple of times, I've chimed in as the GM and asked a quieter player what they'd like to do, but it hasn't been as necessary as I thought it...

Critical Role Announces Age of Umbra Daggerheart Campaign, Starting May 29th

This is actually the first time that I've spent a large amount of time watching the Critical Role team do their thing (never really had the time to get into it before) and I enjoy it greatly, but, as others have pointed out, the lack of game knowledge from the players is, I think, constraining...

    Daggerheart General Thread [+]

In some ways, I think that your immediate environment can have a big effect on player fear levels. Two examples that I was personally involved in; About 40 years ago we were playing Call of Cthulhu one night. We were up in Maine, on the coast, in a relatively small, converted boat house. There...

    Daggerheart General Thread [+]

That's awesome that you have players like that! I did ask one of my players and he said, "The only thing is that I'd miss is being able to see the other players die rolls and partaking in the excitement of that, especially in tense situations."

Thanks for the answer! Miro looks like a great tool. You mention your players enjoying the act of rolling dice, does that mean that you played offline or did you use video conferencing as well?

Has anyone attempted to play online yet? And, if so, how did you do it? Demiplane and Roll20 or some other combination? I'm not interested in Roll20 in the least bit, but I don't see anything out yet for Foundry (I know there's people working hard on this at the moment), Fantasy Grounds, or...

Goodbye to Alarums and Excursions APA

That's too bad. I'd been looking at buying a bunch of earlier issues when my finances straightened out. Reading some of this stuff from 40-50 years ago is like a trip trough history. Wish there was some way of preserving it. I'd also give my left foot to get a hold of old Wild Hunt issues. I...

    ZEITGEIST Fantasycrafting Zeitgeist?

Good way to do it. Thanks for the help, Falkus! Looking forward to starting up my campaign as soon as my book arrives.

    ZEITGEIST Fantasycrafting Zeitgeist?

Excellent. Thank you, Falkus. Are you using the Pathfinder version to convert?
