    Sigil

The planar cant created a distinctive tone and style for Planescape, and it was one of the unifying elements of what was otherwise an infinitely vast and diverse setting. It's also part of the reason why I loved the setting itself. Though, Ray Vallese, during the 'Designer Interview' for Beyond...

    Sigil

Aye. Though it's layout and format is still useful as a guide -- indicating what main areas of Sigil should be included in any future treatment. Then expanded into a 'Ptolus-styled' series of sourcebooks.

    Sigil

Initially, I would use the planewalker.com write-up for Sigil as a guide, and expand significantly on that -- drawing upon all the previous existing sources for the City of Doors, while including new portions of well-researched and detailed source material.

You'll find several new psionic orders detailed in the 'Appendix' of the Players Guide to Faerûn.

Rich Baker Comments on the lack of FR products in the 1st Trimester 08 Catalogue

Though they've never received any great or particular focus, aside from Serpent Kingdoms, the Creator Races [first mentioned by Paul Jaquays (the 'creator' of the concept) in FR5 The Savage Frontier tome] were also briefly touched on in REF3 Lords of Darkness. See also Dragons of Faerûn [in the...

Rich Baker Comments on the lack of FR products in the 1st Trimester 08 Catalogue

I would imagine there'd be tidbits in some of the various timelines included in Grand History that concentrate on those particular regions of the Realms. I'm not immediately aware of any possible updated archfiend-info to be included in the tome, however. Though, with both Eric's and George's...

Rich Baker Comments on the lack of FR products in the 1st Trimester 08 Catalogue

I'm not entirely sure. They've been freely available over at Candlekeep for nearly two years, so I doubt it. I do know much of Ed's "Jhaamdath" timeline will see print in the Grand History however.

Rich Baker Comments on the lack of FR products in the 1st Trimester 08 Catalogue

That mainly concerned Eric L Boyd's suggestion that the Dawn Cataclysm "happened outside the timestream and, thus, cannot be satisfyingly dated." Consequently, any particularly specific facts concerning the event would also be difficult for mortals to accurately determine. I don't expect GHotR...

Rich Baker Comments on the lack of FR products in the 1st Trimester 08 Catalogue

The printed version of Grand History, is the result of countless hours of collaboration between Brian R. James, Ed Greenwood, Eric L. Boyd, George Krashos, and Tom Costa. So you already have the PDF and want to know why you should purchase the sourcebook? There are too many goodies to list...

    Homosexuality in the Forgotten Realms

Yes, it does come from Ed. I wouldn't have quoted him direct, if it hadn't. See the April 8, '04 reply in his Candlekeep 'Questions' scroll.

    Homosexuality in the Forgotten Realms

Also from Ed - "In ‘my’ Realms, there’s no stigma attached to homosexual relationships, only to any sexual behaviour that involves exploiting children, and any sexual behaviour that involves force or coercion (please note: WILLINGLY undergoing pain or bondage doesn’t count)."

Rich Baker Comments on the lack of FR products in the 1st Trimester 08 Catalogue

Or some of Ed's comments over at Candlekeep... since several scribes, like myself and Kuje, have been bugging Ed for years to reveal whatever he can about particular FR deity-related rituals/ceremonies and the like. :D

    Homosexuality in the Forgotten Realms

I'll note also that Alusair is bisexual. So saith Ed [from his '05 Candlekeep replies].
