    Witcher (Netflix)

Enjoying the show so far, two episodes left for me. Netflix has released an interactive timeline / map (spoilers if you haven't finished watching): https://www.witchernetflix.com/en-gb

The Orville Season Two - Thoughts?

Isaac mentionned being out for 32 cycles (or so... maybe 34). If a cycle is a day, then the distance makes more sense.

so much for those toe shoes adverts

I've used Vibrams for 2 years now, for training. I have flat feet, and any training (P90X, Insanity, etc) with cardio was really hard on my feet and calves. After a few weeks with Vibrams, that went away. It took some time to get used to them, and change the way I jump/land, but it's much, much...

    iOS 7

Did you get this to work? You just need to swipe up. Double-click on Home, then swipe up on the app (not the icon) for those you want to close. It's faster than iOS6, and works fine for me.

    Need Recommendations: Spy Thriller Novels

I really enjoyed Edge by Jeffrey Deaver. The first Bourne novel is pretty good; I enjoyed it a lot. It was a bit funny, reading about computers with black screens and green letters (it was written in the early '80s, IIRC). The second novel (Bourne Supremacy) was ok, and the third I didn't...

    Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

Same here; I've put in about 40 hours (level 30), and I'm still loving it. Primary weapon is daggers, and secondary is bow. Daggers are very fast, so I can usually interrupt enemy attacks and keep them "stun-locked". The skill I use most is Detect Hidden, and Persuasion. For the other skills...

    Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

There's a healer in the first town, upstairs in the Inn. You should see a cross on your map when you zoom in. I've played about 10 hours now, really enjoying it. I'm playing a stealthy assassin, sneak-attacking with daggers. I like the storyline so far, though I've been mostly doing side...

    Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

To pull this back on topic... Bought the game Tuesday; I've played a bit less than 4 hours now. I feel I'm not leveling as fast as in the demo, though that could just be my memory. I haven't actually checked how high a level I got in the demo. I also feel it's a bit harder than the demo; while...

    Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

Not now though... but there are rumors Microsoft will be putting that "feature" in the next XBox.

    Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

Yeah, I've played the demo twice. Really like it. It's fairly open world, less than Skyrim, but with a better combat system, IMO. It's definitely a different art direction to the world; Skyrim went for a more realistic color palette and style, while Kingdoms of Amalur is definitely more classic...

    P90x

I did the P90X program with my wife last winter (February - April). It's a great program. I didn't follow the meal plan too precisely, though I cut alcohol and watched what I ate. I only lost a couple of pounds, but lost 2.5 inches off my waist (I'm not a big guy). I'm actually starting to have...

    Anyone from Ottawa or Quebec?

Yeah, a scarf is sufficient. You'll only really need it if you walk for 10+ minutes outside, or it's really windy. A photocopy of your passport is what they mean. The web site of the city of Ottawa has a lot of info: City of Ottawa Since it's the capital, there's a lot of national museums in...
