Now Available: Stronghold of the Wood Giant Shaman for DCC RPG

These are not your father’s giants… Wood giants—animalistic evolutionary ancestors of hill giants—have emerged from the forests of the Fulthon Mountains to harry and pillage human villages with impunity. Ferocious and feral, they kidnap the weak to sacrifice in their barbaric rituals. Decades...

    Retroclones and Older D&D Editions

Lately, I've also been enjoying the new Goodman Games Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG (using the published beta rules). To me it feels like AD&D with some minor/sensible rules updates and tweaks to make magic a bit darker and more mysterious.

Hasbro & Atari Resolve rights dispute over Digtal Rights to D&D

My guess is that Hasbro will now start courting the likes of Zynga and company to make mobile and social tie-ins to their games.

Review of The Haunting of Larvik Island by Thick Skull Adventures

In what ways would it actually be good for WotC to support 3pps: a brainstorm.

Interesting question indeed. I’ll play backseat marketing guy and make some assumptions as to the “Vision Statement” WotC has for D&D as brand, and strategies to meet that vision. Grab a cold one as I wax poetic… For sake of simplicity, let’s assume WotC has the following Vision for D&D...
