Then that is incredibly confusing fluff text. Giving an adjective to a weapon that matches a property the weapon could have in incredibly misleading. A parrying dagger that you can't parry with?
The difference is Magic Stone is technically usable the round it is cast, as a bonus action. It's also not an A5E spell, not even a 2024 spell, it was just the first example I thought of to compare to Seed Bomb. But if you have a Narrator letting you use that spell, it wouldn't be much to ask to...
One of the first things I (meant to have) said was I was disregarding the question of a "parrying" dagger as an oversight and assume it was meant to be the dueling dagger, which is a martial weapon and has the parrying property like you mentioned.
I was referring to using the shield bash option...
I was actually wondering about this recently too. It seems straight forward, but aside from the partying/dueling discrepancy, I think the important question is when that decision is made? At will seems fun, but can definitely cause confusion.
Could you bonus action shield bash on your turn...
On topic, Seed Bomb definitely seems like it's meant to work like Magic Stone did, or even Goodberry. To be cast and potentially shared with the rest of the party.
Off topic, if you want to see(hear) Seed Bomb used to great effect, the finale of CastParty's TSaDragon playthrough is an amazing...
That's perfectly valid. There's certainly opportunity for the Narrator to control the roll.
Blindly bounding toward and enemy, using the jump to make it more effective is the animalistic instinct expected from Tooth and Claw.
I definitely read it as the 15' being the jump, allowing a low strength long jump, as said, but also a standing long jump without a running start. And making an attack with a jump check can be a great way to add an expertise die or make up for an attack at disadvantage.
On page 438, it spells out basic action economy, mentioning an action, a bonus action, and free actions on your turn and a reaction at any time. I don't see it get into specifics, like when your reaction returns. Top of a round or turn is a debate I've seen.
Opportunity attacks are explained on...
I think this "Feat for a Heritage Gift" sounds like an idea for a beefy GPG article, if not a "Special Issue". My take from this is that Paragons would simply become a level 10 feat option? Maybe as part of their own feat chains in some places?
As for this name thing I also hope it doesn't...
That's valid. I suppose I should have said the A5E core rules. But the weapon chart in VRC clearly defines which weapons fall in those categories. The core rule weapon chart does not. Next we could try to say a hand crossbow is a "light" crossbow because it weighs less.
I agree 2024 handles it...
I really believe the weapon lists are much more specific. No where else do the rules group weapons in that fashion. Simple, martial, and rare are the only terms that encompass multiple weapon proficiencies.
Polearm Master (O5E) had this same issue that Polearm Savant (A5E) fixed. Without the...
