Missile Weapons at Point Blank Range

What Aco said. You cannot bludgeon a monster to death with the bow itself in melee (unless Bladed Bows have made a return I'm unaware of), but you can use it to shoot a critter full of holes, assuming you're willing to take the OA for it.

    Stopping the Charge.

That is a good question. Ostensibly, not by the RAW, because your target for said action is no longer valid if you can't reach him. However, the RAW is sometimes silly, so I'd rule that as a yes. Particularly if the Ranger is dumb enough to retreat behind someone not a defender =p

Give me the idea, I build the monster

Actually, it does, Mesh. I greatly appreciate it ^^ Mucho gracias, mi amigo.

Give me the idea, I build the monster

Mesh, thats absolutely amazing and awesome. Its exactly what I was hoping for! Thank you so much. ^^ I'll be sure to check back when they fight it and let you know how it goes. Just for giggles, though, is there any chance I can get you to share a few pointers for the process behind creating...

    Will do Spore. I'll yank my request I just posted then ^_^;

Give me the idea, I build the monster

Edit: Original request pulled. Spore said it would be a good idea to post my request for help to this thread, so here I go. The quick and dirty: -A Solo Lurker/Artillery monster between level 3-5 designed to fight 5 PC's -Looks like a cross between a Drider and a Gnoll/Bugbear/Hobgoblin...

    Solo Monster Design Help

I'm currently writing up an Eberron 4E adventure for my group, and while 90% of the stuff is easy, I'm having trouble capturing the mechanics of the final monster. So I figured I would turn to the forums and solicit some advice from those who have done so and could offer tips. Some background...

    Multiclassing Feats & Powers

Multi-classing in 4E reminds me of the old Loony Toons cartoon with Daffy Duck. "I've got this great trick, but I can only do it once!" That said, yes, multi-classing pretty much is simply a way for you to add variety without becoming broken. Great in theory, but less than inspiring in...

Compiled info on upcoming classes & races

Pterafolk. I don't know how, but somehow, Pterafolk will make it in this mix.

Smart DM, Stupid Monsters (possible KotS spoilers)

My players had a so-so time with Irontooth. Thanks to an escaped Kobold and a short rest, they had to deal with the whole thing at once. They fared alright; no one died, two people went into the negatives at one point, but they pulled it out ok. Admittedly, they were level 2 at this point; I...

    Sacrificial Bunnies (Warlock curse question)

OK. For my first post here at ENWorld, I'm going to pick this thread. robertliguori: I would say that they aren't in fact different at all. I would assume that a competent, able DM would take inspiration from the acts of his players and the scenarios they create, as much as they take...
