I've been gaming for several years now; before computer games were generally considered RPGs; before games could be discussed outside of a comic book store or the library basement without having to ward against wedgies and swirlies. When I started D&D came in boxes, Steve Jackson drove cars, and Luke Skywalkers lightsaber needed at least a handful of d6s to wield.
I've had several years of experience in gaming, but I do not consider myself an expert, mostly just travel-worn. I've seen good games rise and fall, and bad games come to dominate. I've seen inspired companies felled by poor business decisions and the owner/designers hubris and some rather plain-jane companies keep going after decades of adversity. Several times I have needed to take a break from the hobby only to return later with more fire than ever.
I despise social media and most forums, forum trolls make me sick to my stomach. Don't be a bully! If you need to win an argument, good for you, but don't bring the rest of us down to your level, okay?
