    Does teleportation count as "movement"?

Ah apologies. I'll elaborate with an example. If a Scout could teleport as a swift action, would they be eligible for skirmish bonuses from moving with the teleport. Or when it comes to absolute tasteless: If a Swordsage were able to teleport 200 miles on his turn, and then initiate a tornado...

    Does teleportation count as "movement"?

A simple question. It's answer may upset the DM .. a little.

Fist flavoured Stomach ache: IE How do I punch worms from the inside?

Damn. I had stopped reading the grapple rules after I'd seen the opposed grapple version. TIL. Thanks mate! I'll talk the AC thing over with my DM when this comes up in our next session, and let him make that decision.

Fist flavoured Stomach ache: IE How do I punch worms from the inside?

Let's say an angry monk get's swallowed whole by a purple worm. Seeing as the purple worm's grapple check is +40 and my monk's grapple is at best 24, this is a piece of cake (hehe) for the worm. Being swallowed whole does it's damage routine on my monk, and then it's his turn. He does have a...

How do you introduce technology into a fantasy game?

While golemlike sentient automatons and mech's aren't very conceivable even by today's standards, nothing stops your world's scientists from coming up with an "extraordinary" way of inventing them. Say they needed nonmagical brains for their golem. They could've invented a mechanical computer...

Can I willingly provoke an Attack of Opportunity?

So the consensus is you couldn't do it RAW, but should be able to in common sense. I went through the actions in Player's to see if there was a free action that'd expose my character - unfortunately there aren't any. I'm actually not planning on using this as a rescue for the misplaced Psion...

Can I willingly provoke an Attack of Opportunity?

Say I wanted my opponent to hit me with an AOO. Could I just say "Come at me bruh" and open my defenses, or do I need to use an action to dig out a rock out of my pocket to provoke it manually?

D&D 3E/3.5 [3.5] Rule question: Setting sun throws, trip and the word "resolve"

Huh. Not even the rules compendium says anything about the prone status barring a trip attempt. Also checked the trip lock matter, you're right. (So the supreme court of D&D isn't custserv, but the books themselves?)

D&D 3E/3.5 [3.5] Rule question: Setting sun throws, trip and the word "resolve"

" A prone creature has already fallen down and can't be tripped." This is the ruling I was referring to when I said prone opponents can't be tripped. The page explains the why too: Tripping a prone opponent enables a nasty case of trip locking someone with an AOO. Now, I ended up having a...

D&D 3E/3.5 [3.5] Rule question: Setting sun throws, trip and the word "resolve"

Thanks for the quick reply. If "resolve" really means merely the touch and attack and the opposed str checks, then I wonder if the "You can't trip prone opponents" rule of the trip attack might not apply, and you could use a setting sun throw on a prone opponent.

D&D 3E/3.5 [3.5] Rule question: Setting sun throws, trip and the word "resolve"

How do the ToB's setting sun throws actually "resolve" as trips? Normally you can't use the "trip attack" on an opponent that's already prone, or a creature not using legs for locomotion like snakes and so on. But I'm pretty sure my swordsage could realistically throw a snake if he wanted to...
