    The Metatron in Dogma, the big bad guy in Die Hard, the cynical alien guy in Galaxy Quest, the big bad guy in Harry Potter..the list goes on. Chances are, if there's a snide, sarcastic, cynical, english person in a movie, it's probably played by Alan Rickman. :p

    For some reason, I'm reminded of LOTR, where Legolas fires off arrows in quick succession, killing several Orcs, before stabbing another Orc in the eye.
