You forgot Sir Folcwin and the Elderly of the Realm.

    D&D 5E Tiamat's related fiends

I think it's mentioned briefly in the 5th edition Monster Manual and possibly DMG. I know Zariel is mentioned in the paragraph on fallen angels in the Angel entry of the MM. There's not a lot of information out there on the most recent switch.

    D&D 5E Tiamat's related fiends

I think the Pit Fiends you are talking about are the Dark Eight. They are the generals of the Brood War, and allies of Bel. Also, the only reason I have any knowledge of it is because I just started playing a PC who is a Warlock in a pact with Zariel.

    D&D 5E Tiamat's related fiends

I may be misreading your last post, so this might be unnecessary, but just as a bit of clarification: As of 5th Edition, Zariel is ruling Avernus again (and is female.) Bel was deposed, apparently with Asmodeus siding against him. I don't have my books with me, but I think it says Asmodeus...

    D&D 5E Tiamat's related fiends

Well Bel and Zariel are rivals, so if Bel is plotting against Tiamat, it'd make sense for Zariel to be working the opposite side.

    D&D 5E Tiamat's related fiends

Bel or Zariel would make sense, since they have been the back and forth rulers of Avernus recently.

New SCAG Info: Someone Got The Book

Yup, I forgot about that. That basically means the timeline is irreconcilable by a few years, without the aid of a high level chronomancer.

New SCAG Info: Someone Got The Book

I agree - as it stands, the numbers don't make sense, and it seems like Archmage should be happening at basically the same time as Sword Coast Legends. If Archmage happens in the mid-1490's, though, Vengeance of the Iron Dwarf would need to, as well, since Archmage is pretty clear about that it...

New SCAG Info: Someone Got The Book

I can't say for sure - I have never kept perfect track of the years in realms, but I think there is some inconsistency. This page lists Archmage as occurring from 1485-86: http://forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/Archmage_(novel)#cite_ref-Archmage-p57_0-0 While I know a wiki like that is...

New SCAG Info: Someone Got The Book

Archmage mentions the Tyranny of Dragons storyline and the fact that Tiamat failed. I don't recall any mention of it in Vengeance of the Iron Dwarf.

Based on some replies on reddit, I think half-elves are allowed by default. DM approval for other races.

Sword Coast Adventurer’s Guide: The First Official D&D 5E Setting

I agree that they were much more directly critical after WotC decided it was a mistake, but their displeasure was there beforehand if you read between the lines a bit. In the above quote, the "Believe me, I know how you feel. :}" line tells me he also felt those things. You're right that they...

Sword Coast Adventurer’s Guide: The First Official D&D 5E Setting

From Ed in 2007: "This is indeed the Big Risk in all of this, the “roll of the dice” that I wish someone had never decided to make (because I personally value the ongoing development of a shared and unbroken imaginary Grand History of a fictional fantasy setting as something magnificent in...
