I'm a recent college graduate (non-traditional) in between my college job and an actual career. I'm shy and a slacker, like most gamers I'm sure, but generally not a bad guy.

I have a huge interest in history, mainly Classical era to WW2 Europe as well as feudal Japan, and a lot of non-RPG gaming is spent on historical games that cover these areas.

RPG-wise, I prefer 3.5 to 4th edition D&D. I'm guessing it could be construed as more of a gripe with the DM's I've played 4e with - see Game info below - than the system itself, but it just seems to be a non-flavored combat simulator in my experiences with it. Please don't judge me based on that opinion, though: I welcome any opinions that could give me a different feel for the system. I recently discovered Pathfinder, which inspired me to get back into gaming with my current group. I'm also a big fan of Legend of the Five Rings, an Asian-themed RPG, and I tend to try to get it closer to its Japanese ties due to my interest in history.
