Surveys are biased by nature. You are surveying a group that is already players, with preconceived notions. As a majority they will never choose creativity. There is a whole science behind it and I am not articulating it well.
Populous ideas don't tend to drive creativity, they reinforce the ideas that are already present. It takes creative thinking outside the box, to introduce new ideas and create. Design by survey is pretty much the opposite of creativity. Design by survey does well at maintaining a customer base...
Exactly Hasbro could care less about penetration of a new rule set. They care about profit.
The real question is how many of the 21 million are actually buying books or pay for a sub? I am only guessing but they probably make more off the IP. In todays world capture is the name of the game...
They always have to present in a good light, if they like their job. It's what they didn't say that matters.
They made a weak comparisons to 2014 sales. I don't have exact numbers, but they should be selling many, many more copies of the 2024 book than the 2014 book, in the comparison of...
Having worked for several corporations in their IT departments, I would watch earnings to see if i needed to start hunting for a new job. I learned corp speak out of necessity. This full on corp speak. If I was working D&D right now, I would be hoping that my partner had a stable job. You need...
Creativity within D&D has taken a sharp nose dive within the last two years. It kind of feels as if D&D is just treading water at this point, that is fine I will take my tables to other systems. I doubt that this is Crawford's fault, I feel that this is more to do with corporate culture...
Unfortunately, I am in the same situation. I lived within walking distance of the Columbus Convention Center until recently. I will still do GenCon, but Origins is out for my family until they improve their culture. I let my dollars do my speaking for me the majority of the time. There are other...
When I spoke with her, she indicated that she already has a new position within the industry, so I would guess that you are incorrect in your assumption. A company within the industry gave her a paying gig and she has several consulting gigs within the industry. At least a few folks in gaming...

After doing some actual research and talking to Amy, I found out that her letter was actual published on LinkedIn. This is not uncommon. It blew up from there due to the fact...
I have bought every 5e book up until recently. The quality has dropped so much that I have quit buying them. That is saying a lot. I am a hardcore fan and have been since 1e. I can afford every book. My opinion was influenced heavily by the terrible Spelljammer set. I am not their target...
Guessing it will probably be subscription and not micro transactions. Subscription is the golden goose of Silicon Valley and Microsoft. We all know current management's history. If I was a betting man, a combination of both. I am guessing the mini was labeled painted due to the fact that it is...
I am not a lawyer, so take what I say with a grain of salt, but I believe that their IP is covered under a different license.
Guessing, but educated guessing. They are a corporation motivated by profit. They will give away the least amount that they have to try and save this situation.
