I prefer to play around a square table. I'm a pencil and paper gamer (reasons too numerous). I occasionally use my laptop, but not at the table. Its better that way. I use plenty of dry humor. I go into great depth on all of my stories that the PC's travel through. Even on the PC's backgrounds in the stories.
