    Forced Movement & verticals

I had something come up in my game the other day... :1: I know for the two forced movements it's in reference to you... push you have to move them away from you... pull you have to move them toward you... My players are wanting to work on moving in an "L" but only when the "L" moves it one...

Critical hits and strikers class features

but on a crit you only maximize the main damage, so it sounds like you think you don't do that to the strikers added damage.

Critical hits and strikers class features

Ok, so my group ran into this one today, and I need some help with this one. On a crit from a striker, with their extra weapon dice (Ranger & Hunters Quarry, Rouge & Sneak Attack, and Warlock & Curse) are those class features part of the maximized dice? Initially we said yes, it's a part of...

    Sacrificial Bunnies (Warlock curse question)

Exploitation does not common sense make. I just think it's far to burdensome to have to deal with it, there is no way one would have large enough resources to do this. Also, In my OH so humble opinon players should be able to trust the DM, and vice versa, this is an obvious attempt to exploit...

    Sacrificial Bunnies (Warlock curse question)

What if you are teaching your bunnies to summon Orcus with a nose wiggle, THEN you have a legitimate threat! Note: this has been said in humor, I hope it can be seen that way.

    Sacrificial Bunnies (Warlock curse question)

:1: How would you carry the bunnies, I mean are you going to take a cart down into a dungeon? Seriously, that's gonna start weighing a ton, and make noise. :1: . :area: On that note, how do you also keep them from taking damage as you take damage, how are they protected against AOE attacks...

    What Good is Corellon's Grace?

Also if it gives you a move action, then you could trade it in for a minor action and get some healing in, or really any other minor action you have. Seems pretty useful to me, and in the 4th ed moving around can have an enormous impact on the combat, based on the movement alone.

Coup de grace: am I doing this wrong?

Yah, miss read on my part, and further rereading didn't help for whatever reason. Thanks. My head is up my... um... nether regions.

LOL, oops, ok. I see that. Brain Fart, totally. Thanks.

Coup de grace: am I doing this wrong?

From the Recent Dungeon Column (The Coup De Grace)http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dued/20080606 : Ok, have I been doing this wrong? I mean I'd be lynched by my players if I allowed a Coup de Grace along with a surprise round. I haven't seen anywhere that in certain surprise rounds...

Effective Imprisoning of PC's, how can you do it?

Another nice one. That's one heck of a way to deal with things. Together these are very good ways to deal with things.

    D&DI What's up with it's opening?

Nice, I think that might be a slight mistake on their part... depending of course on how long their beta period. My opinon of course.

Effective Imprisoning of PC's, how can you do it?

Another valid point. I think, again, that a new edition requires a new thought process. Nice thread by the way.

    D&DI What's up with it's opening?

I thought that the Beta of D&DI would be unveiled on Friday along with the core books. I see that Dungeon and Dragon have been more fully supported, but I haven't seen any functionality being opened to the public, as far as the system. I think that a great deal of people are going to be...

Effective Imprisoning of PC's, how can you do it?

I was more referring to the "evil" capture, or the "goodly" if the pc's are of an evil bent. What if they are in the drow dungeon, or the mind flayer layer as slaves, or hobgoblin jail? Higher level guards work for a time, and even as characters level they might be imprisoned by angels (very...
