My (limited) XP so far:
I played a heavily armoured DS Sorc in a one-shot. Running around with the new spirit guardians felt pretty ridiculous, even with just my "regular move" causing damage and then doing "hold action->move" to cause more damage next turn. Any movement shenanigans other PCs...
Do you have a reference for this? AFAIK in 2014, being invisible just lets you make a hide attempt in places you'd otherwise be in plain sight, it doesn't give advantage.
Definitely a pain when you're doing the bolt back to town.
There are some that are identical (clearly working from the same source material), but then others are completely different. Library, Textile House, Pyramid and Graveyard being examples. There's no reason they should be the same, it's...
Good way to use it. Even though it didn't grab me, I still took what I could from Ruins, but my goal was to try and capture the "vibe" of Pool, so I used it's content wherever possible (minus stuff like endless mazes and X random encounters to clear kind of thing). Just started playing it with...
Interesting. I got RoA, but felt it was so lacking compared to PoR I went through the PC game to do a conversion. I think getting to the "Slums" section in RoA and finding it is nothing but an empty 16x16 map with a few random encounters lost me hard. It couldn't win be back after that haha.
Possibly not. I've only tried summon fey as a player, and it kept getting smashed very quickly. I guess it's taking some hits for the team, but it didn't feel "great". Funnily enough, I've seen the Summon X spells get criticised for being too OP (a "martial as a spell"), so they're pretty well...
Having played with a "guidance spammer" once, the bonus to rolls wasn't the issue at all for me, rather the constant interruptions of someone shouting "guidance!" no matter where they are or what they're doing.
The material component isn't consumed. You only need to buy it once.
