I'm a JC/NYC girl who loves rpgs and all things geekery. I've DMed for v3.5 (unfortunately for only a session!) and played a very long multi-campaign from AD&D with a bunch of coworkers over the span of 3 years. I moved to JC almost 3 years and have been dying to play again, but have been caught up with the career issues associated with moving to/working in NYC. I'd love to play with a group that meets 2x a month or so, preferably early in the week. I work freelance in theatre, so nights and weekends tend to be my work nights.
My gaming philosophy is less about dice and numbers and more about rpging and character building. Of course the numbers are important...I do value a good +2 weapon...but what makes it fun and allows the game to be an escape is slipping into the role of another person (or elf...or dwarf...) for that time. It's what I love about the game!
And I'm a good writer...I love to archive sessions after the fact and write a couple page summaries about the game. In case you were interested in having an archiver
