Hi, From the early issues, "Mightier than the Sword". From the 3e period, "Thirds of Purloined Vellum" and the Cauldron Adventure Path. Cheers Richard

    Mmmm...Libris Mortis.

Me too! I've used these loads. Haven't used the rest of the book much -- a couple of sample dragons was about it. Cheers Richard

Which creature from Monster Manual II have you used in your campaign?

Hi, I've used these: * Chaos Roc with fiendish template on Plain of Infinite Portals * Corpse gatherer -- in Thanatos, Orcus' layer of the Abyss * Corollax, Cloaked Ape, Forest Sloth -- in the jungles of Hepmonaland * Ixitxachitl, lots -- in Demogorgon's fortress of Abysm * Kelvezu demon...

    The Shining South

Hi, I'm really looking forward to this -- more than Libris Mortis! I quite like random encounter tables in regional sourcebooks -- it gives me a list of what creatures can be found in a specific area. There are maps, aren't there? Serpent Kingdoms was a good book, but would have been much...

If you could try a RPG that ISN'T D&D...

Hi, * Paranoia XP -- one of my mates has just bought this. Can't wait to play! We have fond memories of the original. * Call of Cthulhu -- my 2nd favourite RPG * Feng Shui -- have the games and a few supplements. Never played it. *Buffy the Vampire Slayer -- still waiting for my girlfriend...

    Thank you both! Richard

Environmental Series Supplements! What do you want next?

Hi, I'd vote for underwater first -- the current rules are pretty sketchy, and I didn't like the underwater rules in Seas of Blood or Broadsides. Second choice would be jungle & rainforest. This is a fascinating environment with lots of potential. Cheers Richard

    Chaositech is nasty...I like it!!

Chaositech in Freeport Hi, I equipped a bunch of evil Great Old One worshipping cultists in my Freeport game with implants, emitters and bombs which made them stand out from the run of the mill cultists they'd encountered previously. The players could have picked up the emitters and bombs...

Return to the Desert of Desolation

Hi, I played these modules back in the early 80s when they first came out and later ran the supermodule version which was loosely set in the Forgotten Realms. I enjoyed the modules enormously from both sides of the screen and would include them in my all-time Top 5. There is very little stuff...

    Best starting modules

I'd also recommend Maiden Voyage -- I've run it twice and it's great fun, as well as Death in Freeport. My favourite 1st level adventure, though, is Thirds of Purloined Vellum -- a city based adventure from Dungeon #88 involving rival thieves' guilds and greedy merchants. It's set in Athkatla in...

    Disciple of the Sun feat?

Hi, One of my PCs has the feat but we can't remember what it does and have left the Complete Divine at home. Could someone please post a brief summary -- it's on page 80. Cheers Richard

What's the best D&D product EVAR?

Hi, Another vote for the grey FR boxed set. Honourable mentions for the Planescape Boxed Set and the Planewalker's Handbook, the G & D series, 3e Player's Handbook. Cheers Richard

What are the 10 best d20/D&D companies out there?

Oh dear. Are they going back to roll and keep? Did I read something about them giving up on 7th Sea too? Richard

d20 Companies: Less = More Purchases?

I agree that Feng Shui is a damn good game, but I think it's a bit harsh to suggest that Atlas' d20 products weren't. They published some very useful and interesting books -- Dynasties & Demagogues, Nyambe, En Route I & II, Seven Cities to name a few. It's a shame they've decided to stop...
