Blood Elves were not playable in 1e I don't think (the version I started with) so had not got to them. They would be scary to be around. Intimidation as a skill, resistance to psychic damage? Anything else you would suggest.
These are very valid points you are both making, and I do want to balance the Earthdawn races against the 2024 ones while making them thematically distinctive. Some musing follows.
I liked the versatile 1 handed thing for Trolls because it fed directly into the Earthdawn Lore, so I am quite...
Thank you both for your comments, appreciate the feedback - the campaign is yet to get off the ground so I still have time to refine these things.
Agree that intrinsic ability to fly is amazing, and trying to balance windlings is difficult. You could give them the lucky feature that Halflings...
I came here to post that. Yes, superb dialogue. The Barghest idea seems very cool, recurring villain because he likes to play with his food. Will make the final defeat very satisfying.
I let people train skills, at a geometrically increased cost according to the number of skills gained through this method.
I am toying with spell tattoos - pay for knowledge of a spell that is imprinted on your body - probably if its a setting fit.

Done some preliminary work on a system for characters that is less class oriented, and more based round 3 archetypes. Planning to use for settings like Earthdawn or Glorantha, where magic is very widely available so all characters will have some magic. Aims to flatten the power for pure casters...
Yes, a more in depth treatment of pantheons would be great. Would be nice to see options for non clerics to get minor bonuses/fluff for reverencing a god (bank some inspiration for appropriate endeavours under that gods purview , something like that).
