My Gen Con Report

Now if there was a tease at the show, it was Goodman Games. While I didn't run into Joe, I did run into James, a very friendly fellow who was happy to talk and inform me of the many changes to his Martial Arts book. (Picture to follow I swear!)

However, what caught my attention was this! I mean come on, bad enough I can't scrounge up a copy of the Complete Guide to Beholders, but to torture me with this image that is now burned in my mind... The agony!

Now I'm attaching one image of the Goodman booth with the Beyond Monks but have another one so if that one needs to go up, give me a buzz and I'll let get to it. (Never let it be said that I don't try to occassionaly stop bitching to help out!);)

Now one of the things I mentioned was PODS, print on demand books. I was very impressed with how they looked physically and wanted to show people that these are not some spiral bound POS books but the real deal.

And for those who couldn't see due to the glare, I got one of the new books, Quick Shots and Arcane Strife. Man, and I'm not even getting paid for this! (That's okay, Hellhound was a great guy and gave me the quick tour of the place before I had to scamper off to other booths.)

And here is the booth with the man whose code states that my brain taste like Chicken! All this and not even a free shirt I tell ya!

Here is an example of one of the many open areas. Like I said, the place, from what little I could see as I ran around, was very well spaced and comfortable. Air conditioning was blasting very nicely.

Now one thing I think I saw more of this year, in addition to art dealers, comics, anime, weapons, and secondary markets, was things for use with Mage Knight.

This looked very much like Diablo comes to D&D with turn based runs and other things that looked great visually but don't know if they'll appeal to me as a gamer. Still, the name takes me back.

Now Kenzer & Company managed to beat EVERYONE to the 3.5 punch with their monster book and it was there at the Con along with a new module by Brian J.

Now I don't like Silver Age Sentinels d20. I love the Tri-Stat full color version of it though. Either way, there's no denying that this is fun stuff.

I wonder what their stats would be for MEG's Monster Game?
