[OT]My Trip to St Petersburg Russia--Photos (a couple more added)

Earlier this summer I went on a trip to St. Petersburg, Russia formal tsarist capital, with my wife. Since I had mentioned I would do so somewhere on these boards, I finally got around to scanning some photos and trying to post them here. To keep this from being too blantently OT I've tried to select ones with a classical/fantasy tie-in, of which there are several.

Apologies in advance as I'm not to good at this sort of thing. I could have made some photos smaller (gotta get Photoshop sometime for that). Some of the photos weren't so great as the weather was poor.

EDIT: I'll add some more later. My slow computer/connection takes a while to do this.

Here's a statue of Peter the Great. It's known for the fact that the entire statue is standing on only one of the horse's legs.

A complete stranger got in the way when my wife took the photo

Maybe its the perspective of the shot.....but this guy is TALL!

Well, actually, If memory serves, he's about 6'6"

OK, finally got a hold of Photoshop and reduced some of the photos
EDIT: still gotta work on my reduction skills
