likely they're from the bootleg dvd. there were dozens like this on the FotR bootleg disc. (for the record i do own both official versions of the FotR disc as well)

I hear if you look really close in one frame you can see the only product placement in the entire film.

Thats not true, in the first movie if you look closely when the gang is in the corn field you can see a car zoom by, thats got to be a yellow cab.

It's really easy to fake that sort of thing.
I'm surprised so many people believe they're real.
