[DM] Is it wrong for me to take pleasure in inflicting pain?

No, it's not wrong at all. DM's are supposed to have fun and while we are at it; don't hide the evil laughter. :D

Yep. That about sums it up for me too. :D It's good to be evil sometimes.....really, really evil.

Anyway, like the subject line says, is it wrong that I take so much pleasure from this? Will it be wrong when, come game day, when I try to hide back the evil laughter as I watch PC after PC fail poison save DCs of 20, and when they no longer have the strength to break out of Strength DC 24 webs?

Yes. Yes, it is.

Yes; yes, it will be.

One of my GMs uses a laptop. On it for us to read is "If the DM is smiling it is already too late". :p

As for your creature- I'm doing the same thing myself. I just created a Dire Megalodon Corpse creature that is Spell Stitched. Translation- an 80ft long prehistoric mutated undead shark that has damage reduction and spell resistance and can caste limited number of spells.

(will be posted eventually in Rogues area)

Part of the realism is the horror and seriousness of the attacks. Now...once you do this to players vs player characters then you may want to turn yourself in and get help :D
