Blight Magic, Librum Equitis print version available

One of the things I like about Librum is that it uses OGC from other publishers. I feel that this is an excellent step in the right direction and really helps tie the book together in a lot of ways that help it from reinventing the wheel.

Yes, there is a reasonable amount of OGC usage in this book. Nothing overwhelming but in there just the same. I think it is critical to begin to use and work with all the OGC material out there. The challenge is, there is quite a bit now.

Also, to give the consumers the bang for their buck we will always limit the amount of OGC so the majority of a title is original.

Urban Blight has uses some OGC from Bastion press as well. This worked out nicely.

Blight Magic and LE1 are in the Osseum warehouse finally and should be out to distributors this week, and then on to retail, so expect to see them soon.

Hell I know that you've got at least two sales. I've had to fight my friends off with hot irons to keep my review copy. Wait, I have to go, I hear them scapping at the door now... "Prestige... must have prestige..."

Wow, Joe, thanks. Both these books were certainly labors of love for the teams that worked on them. Jason and Denise at Ambeint rock.
We, who worked on Blight Magic, did so with a passion. We wanted to create a magical tool that did not disrupt the current system while at the same time offer a type of magic that created a feel and unique quality. I think we achieved that, even vusually with the artwork and layout.
John Shannnon, who did the cover, did an excellent job. I hope more publishers will use him. he is great, fast, and reliable.
Of course, you then add Andy Hopp's fine work and I think the feel of Blight Magic, and the characters, was captured.

And "big props" to Jason, LE1 really inspired the artists there as well and I think they outdid themselves in creating images to fit the classes in that book.

We strive to offer things that are very different and not a rehash, some times we (and others who attempt a far out idea) take a few lumps, but I think we are learning well how to reach a balance with offering something totally different and still not bending the d20 system rules too much.
Mystic Warriors was our real first attempt at that and folks either loved it or hated it. With Blight Magic, I think that it is far more intuitive a fluid, working along side the d20 system with no real disruption or change to the rules as they apply.

Sorry for the ramble, and I hope you as a reviewer, and others will agree with my assesments.

Hi Tensen, your order was mailed today via airmail so it should arrive soon. The reason for the price drop was we lowered the page count. We took out something we were not happy with in the end result and had tight margins so the page count came in at 56 pages.

Thanks for your order BTW!

I forgot to meantion I got it this weekend, but haven't had a free moment to actually go through it all. What I have seen is pretty awesome.

Joe - Denise told our artist (Squidhead) about your players and the "prestige... must have prestige" comments...

And we got this:
