Forest Mist (two versions)

Description(s): Here's another image that originally was of a nude woman was a completely black and white image of the beautiful model Linda O'Neil. The self proclaimed World's Sexiest Brunette won't get any arguement from me. The original image on her website isn't "Eric's Grandma" safe, so I won't be posting the link.

The second version of "Forest Mist" was modified by using Photoshop's Diffuse Glow filter. It gives the image more of a canvas-like look which I really like.

Soul Fire (two versions)

Description(s): This creation is totally original and was inspired by the song "I Will Love You" by F i s h e r! Now, it might seem completely black (on some monitors) but I assure you it is there, even if it subdued.

The alternate version of "Soul Fire" has the Color Balance pumped up in order to bring out the purple as I originally intended.

Aguilera's Wylde Heart

Description: Here's something that I came up with using a picture of Christina Aguilera while listening to "Book of Shadows" by Zakk Wylde. I added additional color (lots of yellow) to this peice and it is quite distinct from the original picture on the Christina Aguilera Official Website (I've enlarged it as well). Basically, I did this because of the "Book of Shadows" CD. It's front cover art has a distinctly yellow/gold section in the center of the CD. The image is a mingling of her portrait and his music and I absolutely love the end result. And while the name pays tribute to both artists, I must confess some personal bias towards the name. ;)

Two Legacies

Description: I created this image (from a picture of Hugh Hefner's Playboy Mansion), while listening to the musical score from Ridley Scott's "Gladiator". The music on this amazing motion picture soundtrack is by Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard. I used several distortion filters in Photoshop to blend all the color elements together from the picture while the music inspired the look and feel of the work.

With Music

Description: I'm not sure how to describe this one. I worked on it for a long time but never got around to posting it until after creating the last two images. It evolved through hours of pain staking smudging, adding more color and smudging some more. The title refers to the fact that whenever I worked on it I listened to my favourite music, whether on CD, on the radio or as MP3s.

Fire Portal (two versions)

Okay, revisiting my digital art got me in the mood to try something new. i took a picture of a poster I have of a dragon and then went about smudging and filtering it until i came up with something completely unique.

The second image applies the "Craquelure" filter to the base image. It's definitely the better of the two. Like something you would find muraled on a dungeon wall. Careful, anything might activate the portal and pull your adventurers through.

:]
