The next several days pass uneventfully. With the help of Olgeff, Thral'k follows the map and leads the party where it shows.
At around midday on the eighth day in the jungle you arrive at a clearing. Through the opening you can see the ruins of what appears to be a large monument. As the group looks around, it sees no sign of anyone in the area and carefully approaches the huge stone, moss covered, crumbling walls surrounding an enormous statue of an Ettin standing triumphantly with his hands on his hips. The statue facing north appears to be made out of marble and is reflecting the sunlight off of his dramatic white features. On one of the walls there is a series of four levers, the one on the far left is in the up position and the other three are down.
Gregory is overjoyed hoping all his research and hard work are finally paying off and he is practically leaping out off his boots as he say “This is it. The ruins we have been searching for. There must be away to access its lost secrets. Quick everyone please spread out and search for any clues to unlock its mysteries!!”

Spawn of Khyber/LEB Judge
The lizard scrambles up the ruined walls to get a better vantage, circling wide and jumping when need be to get a better look at the statue. With that done, it perches over the levers with a keen eye. "I can sssearch for trapsss, but it not be my training."

OOC: LOL, I don't think we have an actual set of rogue skills in the party.

ooc; nice post mel! awesome map!

During the ensuing trip, the Wizard quietly follows the guides and makes sure everyone has enough to eat and is in good spirits. At nights, Genithar speaks of the past ages of Giant rule and various theories on what brought their powerful nations low. Indeed, the Karrnathi seems to begin to warm to his comrades, eagerly answering their questions and hearing their own thoughts.

The morning before arriving at the site of their final destination, Genithar rememorizes his spells;
[sblock=ooc spells]
4 0th - Read Magic, Detect Magic, Message, Flare
3 1st - Cause Fear (willDC15), Shield, Charm Person(willDC14)
[/sblock]

Coming upon the ancient monument, Genithar lets out a hissing breath, obviously emotional as he breathes, 'Most impressive.'

Moving closer with the group, the Wizard brings an arrow to his bow, makes sure his sword is easily accessible and that the scrolls upon his belt are close at hand. Watching Terran move towards the statue and Thral'K start his perimeter search, Genithar intones, 'Corran, with me. Shade', with Terran. I've got scrolls that will knock down portals, hold portals, detect secret doors, and various other utilities. Watch out for any of our Employer's brother's minions.

With that, Genithar begins to search the surrounding walls for any language or symbols, looking for any clues as to when this monument was built.

ooc; any know skills I have that might help in this situation? yea, no rouge skills.... should be fun.... maybe Plank or Gregory is a rogue?

[sblock=Genithar]Judging from the aged walls and history of the land your best guess is the ruins are atleast 60,000 to 80,000 years old. The magics used to create this once great shrine must have worn off and cause the ruins to sucumb to the enviroment around it.

Also as you look around the ruins and approach the nortern most wall you notice some arcane symbols but can not make them out. They seem to be some sort of magic scripts.
[/sblock]

[sblock=Thral'k]As you take positon above the levers you see no sign of enemies nearby[/sblock]

[sblock=Terran] As you examine the the base of the statue does infact look as thought it could rotate. The question is, how?.[/Sblock]

Terran looks at the statue
That statue has a movable base. Maybe if we pull some of those levers we an get the statue to move and open up a door.

Genithar nods absent mindedly at Terran's words, slowly striding towards the Northern wall as he calls out, 'Be on your guard for anything, this place is over 50 centuries old and may crumble at a touch. I've found some arcane script on yon Northern wall, I shall investigate. It may be a clue.'

The Wizard's eyes are glued to the wall and he goes to it, looking at the script, he attempts to use all of his varied disciplines and raw intelligence to decipher the eld writings, Decipher Script, Know: Arcana, SpellCraft (1d20+6=14, 1d20+8=17, 1d20+10=20)
