Considering Hexes instead of squares

Sure (indeed we have one), but I'm thinking about a big (A2 or thereabouts) transparency which I could plonk down on top of the KotS maps, to give me hexes overlaid on an existing map.

Cheers

That would be pretty sweet, although I wonder how well it would work... It seems to me that the lines on the transparency and the lines on the hex grid would blend together and make it difficult to see at a glance.

Hmm, not sure if this was the thread, though i do recall someone talking about reshaping Blasts to BE cones when using hexes.

Here is a way to shape those...and a big ol sheet of 1' hexes

Those are nice but I do not think you're blasts are correct. Both you're blast 1 and blast 2 should have one more green hex. I would also say you're blast 5 is extending into blast 6 territory by having an almost complete extra orange row as well as you're blast 4 getting two extra green hexes in the middle of what should be blast 5's last row.

If you are going to do hexes it seems all blasts should start from two adjacent sides of the hex, then go out a number of hexes equal to the blast number. Then each hex in between those two columns should be part of the hex if you can count to the given hex with the blast number.

You're blast 3 however, is spot on ;)
