Urn Your Pay (Rae judging)

Gildrim tries to snap his whip at the tiny sword of the creature under the table.[sblock=OOC]Fighting defensively, for +2 AC (16 again); if the grig's AoO misses, then a disarm attempt now at +8; if the sword falls to the ground, Gildrim will use his move action to put his foot on it![sblock=OOC, frivolous]Maybe Erf should have summoned a burrowing owl ;)

Yeah, 4000 gp, 1x1x2000 x2 for a spell that ordinarily lasts min/level. If there were no such things as animal companions, I'd consider a cost of just 1800 gp for a command-activated item, but even 4000 gp seems a bit cheap when its usefulness for a druid or ranger is considered. Custom magic items have to be proposed and then approved, or not, by the judges, I think.[/sblock][/sblock]

[sblock=OOC] For the sake of ease Erf was full defensive if that is okay. he does go over and stabalize te downed Grig though. Thanks very much for the item opinion guys, sounds about right to me. I have been intending for Erf to be a crafter not wanting to take the more typical super summoner route and I find unims far more interesting on the whole, balance issues aside.

Have any of you read Sepulcrave's story hour btw? Just out of curiosity.[/sblock]

OOC: Argh! No I'm an idiot!!!! Erf does summon an eagle and he does tell it to grab and bring the Grig to him!!! Woot! I knew there was a reason forest gnomes made amazing druids!

Automatic Languages: Gnome, Elven, Sylvan, and a simple language that enables them to communicate on a very basic level with forest animals (this replaces the rock gnome’s speak with animals ability).

I am assuming that grab bring is not beyond this basic level.

ooc: I'm afraid I'm gonna have to go with no on that one. Eagles are not forest creatures: "Environment: Temperate mountains". Do you want to summon an owl instead?

[sblock=OOC] Hmm, yes I see your point there, though i will point out that eagles do live in forests in the real wbut its true that would make it a bit too powerful since the same can be said of a vast number of creatures. He'll just go full defensive, sorry to be taking up so much time with this![/sblock]

ooc: Serow - I can't see allowing a jump/charge effect after a failed reflex save, sorry. Would you like to restate your action? While I'm at it, G2 misses its AoO, so Gildrim may go ahead with the disarm check. As we discussed earlier, G2 will get a +4 circumstance bonus to its disarm check from cover.

OOC: disarm attempt 1d20+8=20.

Edit: if successful, Gildrim will try to stand on the short sword. If counter-disarmed, he'll move back (west) 5' while drawing his morning star. If he fails but keeps hold of his whip, he'll just move back.

Round 2, continued

Ter-raen finds himself stuck in the tablecloth. He tries to pull himself free, and nearly succeeds, but not quite.

Gildrim snaps his whip at the grig attacking him from under the table. He leaves himself open for a moment, but his foe is unable to capitalize. The whip cracks out, and again the tiny creature is unable to hold on to his weapon, which drops to his feet. Gildrim steps on the fallen sword

Erf struggles through the entangling fibers to the fallen sprite. The cloth binds his arms, but he concentrates and manages to stop the creature's breathing. It remains unconscious.

Fenenn bounds into the room and attacks the grig beneath the table, but in his excitement chomps wildly at the air missing the creature by a mile. (ooc: which square is he in?)

Round 3

G1 lies still, writhing bits of linen binding it fast.

G2, finding itself bound by the fibers, and unable to grab its sword, tries to work its way loose of the entanglement, but cannot slip free.

G3 frowns and tries his arcane incantation again, with a similar lack of results.

Ter-raen...

Initiative
G1 4 damage after DR, unconscious
G2 uninjured, under the table, in Gildrim's square
G3 uninjured, hovering 12ft up
Ter-raen 25/25, entangled <== You're up
Gildrim 16/16, entangled
Erf 22/22, entangled
Fenenn 12/13[/QUOTE]

ooc: Ter-raen is still on the table. Halford, remember to make a reflex save for Fenenn at the start of your turn. And I need that AoO.

ooc: Edited to reflect Gildrim's move action, which I forgot before. Also, the same spellcraft check is available this round as in round 2, which I didn't see any rolls for.
