Wordclouds from the 4e and 3e PH's

I took some PDF's of the 4e and 3.5e PH's and I made these wordclouds with wordle. For those uninformed, the wordclouds show the relative frequency of words by displaying them at different sizes: the bigger the word, the more often it appears.

....I think it's interesting to say the least.

Much obliged to anyone who can get the HTML to stick to display those clouds in the thread. I can't seem to puzzle out how to get the forums to recognize HTML.

I can't get it to stick either. Fascinating exercise though - how cool is wordle?

It wants to install java applets or something.

If you've got it visible, why not take a screen grab and post the pictures of them here? I'd be interested to see them

Why the different fonts? I'm curious how they would visually compare if they used the same font. The 3.5 version seems to use a slimmer font type while 4e is much bolder and thicker.

Yeah, they're being generated from the applet, so you can't link the static image, as there is no static image. Here they are.

The fonts were randomly generated, though I did find it kind of humorously fitting that the 4e font was so thick and dominant, and its major word was "attack," while 3e's font was slim and elegant, and its major word was "spell."

OTOH, since "spells" are "attacks" in 4e, not much difference.

Well the main thing you notice is how much more space magic took in 3E compared to 4E.

And in 4e, Martial is greater than Arcane or Divine!

(and the only 3.5 classes that rate are Cleric and Sor/Wiz. Fitting, really).
