in looking at our subject this week we need to start in the far past, where cats, especially amputee cats were sometimes worshipped. what student of history hasn't read how the egyptians worshipped cats?

but our subjext had much humbler times and a much more meager beginning than these illustrious stars of fallen cultures. he and his siblings were literally left outside a feline orphanage without so much as a note:

but, like all success stories, p-kitty fell on hard times. he struggled with his need for cheap booze, eventually losing his spry step, and his baton:
