With the first few zombies taken care of, Miranna hurried back into the hallway to face the next wave. Taking a position beside Firete, she spun her blade through a complex series of cuts, weaving a web of sparkling electricity in the air. One tendril of lightning slammed into the zombie brute, and a few stray sparks floated towards the other abomination but seemed to fade before they could land.

Firete's hands shake as she wields her sword, she strikes true but with not much of an impact as she would have liked. She draws back and tries to shrug off the effects of the attack.

Brenwar hearing the howling wind wonders what is going on with his friends, but has his own problems to handle first. He utters a prayer and a small owl circles the brutish zombie. All the while he keeps the creature off balance with his hammer. He finally connects with his glowing hammer and the zombie collapses to the ground destroyed by the radiant light. He then moves back around the corner getting between Firete and one of the undead.

The brute attempts to slam Miranna, but she effortlessly sidesteps out of the way.

Black liquid rushes from the wound Yishim dealt the defiler, but it quickly retreats. It looks as though some of the damage has been repaired. The defiler raises dripping hands above its head, and necrotic rain pours down on the gathered adventurers. The liquid sizzles and spits where it meets skin, cloth, and metal alike.

In haste to get out from under the acidic rain Cheysuli flits through the Arcadian veil, a torrent of earth and loose stones fly down the corridor and coalesce into the spry tiefling close to the defiler.

Chey fuels all of the pain from her still hissing acid burns into her words as she dooms the creature to a swift and peaceful grave. She sweeps her rod upward pulling eerie blue-white faerie flames from the floor to engulf the defiler searing it's eyes as well as it's flesh.

Feeling her strength ebbing out of her from the attack, Firete gathered her reserves of energy to stay on her feet though she still felt a little weak. She turned quickly to Yishim behind her and murmured a few words of healing.
I may be a little worse for wear myself, she said to him, but at least I can still help others.

Miranna gave a hissing grunt of pain, but continued to maintain her grim focus on the nearest zombie. She swung her sword in a looping overhand cut, and a faint rumble echoed down the passageway as the blade struck home, staggering the creature...
