The zombie staggers under Chey's assault, takes one step towards the tiefling, and then collapses. Black ichor pours from its wounds onto the runic circle. A foul smelling smoke rises from the glyphs, and Yishim sees similar smoke emanating from the northern circle.

[sblock=Arcana 15]Whatever power was waiting within the circles is no more. They can now be crossed freely.[/sblock]

[sblock=You win!]Status:
Yishim (21/22)
Cheysuli (28/31)
Miranna (25/35)
Firete (15/28, bloodied)
Brenwar (29/35)[/sblock]

The foul smoke from the glyphs makes Firete turn her head. She smiled in satisfaction. As much as I enjoyed riding on your disc, Yishim, I don't think we'll need it anymore. Whatever dark magic was animating that creature was somehow also affecting the glyps, we should have no trouble crossing them. She got out her harp and started to play a lively allegro. However, she added, her fingers working on the strings as she talked, I am wondering if we are in any conidtion to continue this evening, I know I am nearly spent, what say the rest of you?

[sblock=Actions and OOC]
Arcana (1d20+8=19)
And I spend one healing surge, which is actually 8, not eleven and brings my hp up to 25 if I take into account my bad arithmetic before as well as Song of Rest which I am playing now.
That brings me down to 1 Healing Surge left and I am just over being bloodied, I could spend the other but only if we're going to have a Extended Rest as I suggest we do now.[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]
Well if we want to be real dare devils I can use my last lay on hands on you Katana. Then we can shoulder on with these shiny new action points which (I think) we just got.
Doesn't matter to me either way, Brenwar can continue or we can stop since some of us are a due a level up I think.
EDIT: I also still have daily and magic item daily btw.
[/sblock]

[sblock= OOC] I think we really ought to go for an extended rest. Miranna will spend one surge now, leaving her with only 2 as a front-line combatant. I think we also ought to level everybody up before we try to take on whatever is behind this mess. [/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]It depends what we are up against, if we scouted ahead we may be in a better position to judge. If all that is left in this dungeon is a big pile of treasure, then I say get to it! But I don't feel very comfortable going to another encounter that is larger than one mook...particularly if my DM's sense is reading correctly and we're going to be having some sort of boss.
Anyone willing to scout?[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]I'm good to continue. I have my daily & item daily still. I wouldn't mind leveling up, but in-game I feel like we should be hurrying. The ghost said we were just a straight shot to the final room once we go down the stairs. That said, I'm not just one surge from death, so I can be a bit more cavalier.[/sblock]

"Here Firete let me help you with a those wounds." Brenwar walks over and lays a glowing hand on Firete shoulder and some of her wounds nit.

[sblock=ooc]
Firete gets healing surge + 4 health back at the cost of one of my surges.
I'll go ahead and spend one on myself also.
Well I'm the type to keep pushing onward, but I can safely do so with 4 surges. As for scouting I'm useless at it.

Firete feels the warmth of healing energy transferred to her and starts to feel as if she could, possibly go on. Thank you for that, Brenwar, she says, though a smile creeps on to her face. One has to wonder what else you do with those healing hands of yours. She turns to the others. Well, someone was talking about continuing? Brave deeds were never won by faint hearts.
[sblock=OOC]Song of Rest: Will this conincide with the +5 bonus, giving me 17 hp bringing me up to 42? if not, it's at 38.
And somehow, I don't I'll have to heal as much if Yishim DOESN'T charge into the fray like a fire-breathing puppy at a dragon.[/sblock]
