How about "New Players Day?"

While sitting in the cafeteria at work reading D&D books (I'm such a dork), I've attracted the attention of people who've never played before. Several of them are now interested in playing, and I'm setting up a game for them and their wives over our Christmas downtime.

How about on top of having a DM Day, we have a "Bring a New Player to D&D" Day?

I've got three other DM's in my regular group. If each one of them DM'd for a group of four new players each, soon gamers would...

... take over the world....

I emailed the preview (unedited, not final) copy of Weapons: Book of Swords to my co-workers so they wouldn't be mad at me for not sharing the fact that Malessa and I "wrote a book". Got all kinds of questions flying my way now.

For the total newb, I think RP'ing needs to be broken in slowwwwly. Maybe start off by hosting one of those "Host a Murder" dinner parties, and work down from there. That's my evil plot... muahahahahaaaaa
