A bit OT, but the Godlike RPG has an interesting theory about Kilroy. He was an American ship inspector who had written the famous graffiti on several unfinished ships sent overseas. So, one day, he found he would unconsciously teleport to restricted areas while he slept and would instantly teleport back when there was a threat of discovery. Hitler later found the graffiti in his isolated Wolf's Lair, and Stalin in his brand new private bathroom, only days after it was constructed.

Even though I didn't see the pic in question (since nemmerle took care of it before I got there), I can imagine what happened:

bondetamp tried to directly link to a picture hosted on www.somethingawful.com

Alas, the problem with that is that Something Awful doesn't like other people eating up their bandwith this way.

Therefore, they use a system not unlike the one sites like Tripod, Angelfire, etc. use: When you link to one of their pics, you don't see the pic you wanted, but instead a standard picture everyone linking to any of their pics gets.
Only that Tripod gives you a "hosted by Tripod" image instead of the pic you wanted, while Something Awful gives you... very explicit material.
Heh. I've seen it happen a few times, both in EN World and on other message boards.

So remember: If you want to post a cool pic from Something Awful, save it and host it somewhere else instead of directly linking to it.

No, it was a picture on topic, definitely not a default picture. It made me laugh, but now I don't remember what it was. Bad nemmerle, no chocobullywugs for you.
