I had fun running Weird Wars. I consider it a success if the players are groaning in agony and shouting in triumph during the course of the game.
The following is the official After-Action Report of CPT Hensley, Cdr of 108th Co, 1st ID:
2LT Tyrone Popham, upon learning that the enemy force had captured several French civilians and fearing for the safety of the citizens of our Ally, made the command decision to rescue them. 2LT Popham skillfully led his men against numerically superior German forces and not only succeeded in freeing the captives, but effectively eliminated the enemy force. In the course of this action 2LT Popham was wounded. I hereby recommend 2LT Popham for promotion to First Lieutenant and be awarded the Purple Heart.
Pvt Zachariah Davis exhibited courage and skill in the course of his duties. Pvt Davis, on two occassions, single-handedly eliminated obstacles that would have left the mission in jeopardy and potentially unfulfilled. I hereby recommend Pvt Davis for promotion to Corporal and be awarded the Bronze Star.
Pvt Michael Cheatwood exhibited courage and skill in the course of his duties. Pvt Cheatwood's skills were crucial to the success of the mission. I hereby recommend Pvt Cheatwood for promotion to Private First Class.
Pvt Lonnie Figgo exhibited courage and skill in the course of his duties. Pvt Figgo's medical skills were exemplary and, while under fire on two separate occassions, rescued his injured squadmates. In the course of this action Pvt Figgo was wounded. I hereby recommend Pvt Figgo for promotion to Private First Class and be awarded the Purple Heart.
