[IC] Eberron: The Plumbers

Annoyed at being injured, Ogham changes tactics. Leaning away from the table that is now between the kenku and himself and Rotom, the warforged once more uses the magic from the druidic amulet in his chest.

A bright green glow emits, and from seemingly out of nowhere a fire erupts next to the upended table, which blackens quickly.

"Surrender," he states simply.

OOC: Moving 5 feet back and casting the cantrip Create Bonfire at the end of the table where Rotom is not.

Does this count as a skill check to persuade the kenku to give up? Both Persuasion and Intimidation have a -1:
Persuasion or Intimidation: 1D20-1 = [12]-1 = 11

Round 5.2

Rotom stabbed over the table, scoring a hit on her opponent, driving the kenku slightly back against the wall.

Ogham stepped back, and both kenkus took a swing at the warforged, but both missed.

Korra swung her axe with a cry of “Die, bird man!” and the kenku obediently obliged as its head flew from its shoulders and its body slumped to the floor behind the couch.

Alara tossed a bolt of fire at the kenku that had been fighting Ogham. She hit it squarely in the beak, turning it into a pile of smoking feathers, leaving only one kenku remaining, who looked determined to fight on.

Round 6

The last kenku stabbed at Rotom again, easing away from the fire at the end of the table, which caused him to miss the kobold completely.

PLAYERS ARE UP! If Ogham actually wants to try and get the kenku to surrender, he will need to use his action to attempt the social check. He rolled low anyway last time, so it wouldn’t have worked anyway.

Ogham moves a step to the side, then once more lets the druidic magic from his frame empower a vinelike rope that reaches for the remaining kenku. Occupied with fighting Rotom, the kenku did not expect to suddenly be grabbed by a plant whip, and Ogham pulls the birdcreature all through the fire towards him.

This time he does not bother trying to get it to surrender.

OOC: Moving to the side of the table, keeping the magical fire between him and his target.

Then cast the Thorn Whip cantrip:
Spell attack: 1D20+5 = [18]+5 = 23

Thorn whip damage: 1D6 = [2] = 2

Also, the target is pulled 10 feet closer to Ogham. This means it passes through the magical fire, and it has to make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 13) or take the following fire damage:
1D8 = [8] = 8

Round 0

Alara tossed another fire bolt as the kenku, but it splattered against the table as the birdman ducked out of the way.

Rotom didn’t have any better luck, unfortunately.

Ogham moved across the room and flung out his thorn whip at the kenku, dragging the creature from behind the table and through the fire. The birdman yelped in surprise and pain as it was dragged through the fire, its feathers smoking.

Since Ogham had been so kind as to deliver the kenku right to her, Korra brought her battle axe down on the kenku, separating its head from its body.

All enemies in the room lay dead, and a fire was slowly spreading to the table in front of the door to the other room.

COMBAT OVER!

Korra flips the table over, and out of the way, trying to smother the fire with the floor. She then says, "I hurt."

Ogham starts for the fire, but then changes his mind when Korra remarks on her injured state. Instead the warforged rushes over to her and holds his hand to her wounds.

The green light from within his chest starts flaring but immediately blinks twice, and then changes to a very dim shine.

"Healer!" Ogham calls in true military style, his voice almost mechanical but betraying the concern he feels for his half-orc companion.

OOC: If I remember correctly, we've only had a short rest since I've used up all of my spell slots, and I need a long rest to recover them. So no healing spells for now, sorry!
