13th Age 2E update!

I don’t know. I mean I get what you’re saying, but I can’t see how that has anything to do with the quality of the product. I don’t buy my RPG products based on how much YouTube interviews the designer has done. But yeah I mean doing PR is probably important.
Promotion isn't the only thing, but I'd love to see a deep dive about the design ethos of the system. Like get Heinsoo out there to say "this is a big improvement we're doing." Or "this is how things are different from 5e."

While I don't fully agree with Retreater's points, I agree 13th Age and most small companies could have A LOT bigger YT presence, if they wanted. It would help for sure. Now, is that time worth the help to the individuals involved? No idea.

Adding two different "late bloomer" pledges so backers in the last 48 hours can get bigger discounts than people who backed earlier.
yeah, that one I saw, and I did not like it. At the same time, I can cancel my pledge and pledge again to get the discount ;)

Many people probably missed it / did not do so though (they should all have gotten an email about it…), still, a stupid idea imo, if people make use of it you even backtrack on your pledged total…

In theory, the PDF version should be released this month. Whether or not they'll hit that goal I don't know, but that's the schedule.

If it's out on time, that will mean Daggerheart, 13th Age 2e, and Draw Steel! will all be released within a span of about 7 weeks. I fear that one of those games will be badly undermined by that. I hope I'm wrong, because I'm interested in all three.

It’s a terrible time for 13th Age to come out given the release of Daggerheart and Draw Steel.

And Cosmere rpg digital this summer too.

And don’t forget DC 20 this fall.

Like, literally, if I were them I would wait for next year. 13th Age 2e is going to get buried.

Definitely doesn't seem like a good time for a much more "middle-ground" and straightforward D&D replacer to come out - I got a look at it thanks to a relative, and 13th 2E does look good for what it is, but I don't think it has the strong selling points of the rest, and "Hey we're sort of in the middle" isn't usually very compelling!
