I really get you on this. My drunk of a father left a few days after forcing us kids to listen to "T'was the Night Before Christmas" for the 15th year of my life. My psychopathic sister could never just receive a gift; she had to always complain about how it wasn't something that she wanted (ie. didn't cost a fortune). Christmas, and its music, have never really had any appeal for me. Quite the opposite. Must be why I like "Fairytale of New York" by The Pogues so much.

1., I had to go through the entire thread to see if the two things I wanted to post had been posted.
2. One of them (the Pogues) had already been posted. The early @Ryujin gets the worm! Which means ... is Ryujin drinking tequila, or is he going to be Secretary of Health?
3. But I can't believe no one posted the song from the most awesomest member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!

That said, every Xmas morning I put on Christmas with the Brat Pack. Something about the way they tackle those songs (especially Dino) will always be magic.
