Some of it can even be constructive if you are a homebrewer looking to improve something that should have been improved by WoTC a long time ago.

Yeah but alot of it is just whinning because your specific preferences or wants aren't being put above the majority in the precise manner you(general) feel they should be.

Edit: At a certain point... if you are that dissatisfied with a game... why not stop hating on it and spend that energy finding one (along with recruiting players) that you do like... and if you have, go discuss and praise it.

I get that some people want to be WotC Apologists and defend their ineptitude, but facts are facts. I leave you to it
I am sure there are those people, but I am not one of them. I am happy to list the mistakes I think WotC (or TSR or any company) has made (and there are many) if you want. But not acknowledging the good with the bad just makes you look overly biased and/or ignorant. Then you double down on your bias/ignorance and claiming opinions are facts. I guess it is just what people do in this country when they can't defend their actions/opinions.

IMO, it's just weird to come into a thread about what D&D stuff people are excited for and post on the evils/ineptitude/your disdain for WotC & D&D while calling those actually engaging with the premise of the thread...apologists... Thats not thread drift it's threadcrapping.

Just because you SAY they aren't factual doesn't mean you're correct. When I pointed out WotC has "borrowed" ttrpg design concepts from other designers, then pointed out those other designers, that's fact not opinion. But again, I'll leave you to your defense of WotC (y)

Who hasn't "borrowed" ttrpg design concepts from other designers and games when designing a new game? I'd love to hear the name of a wholly new and innovative ttrpg that borrows nothing from any other game.

That said... Again how many have "borrowed" the entirety of the 5e, 3e, 1e, or B/X systems to produce their own works... How many games contain pieces of those systems?

This argument is absurd.

No, when you said WotC borrowed TTRPG design I agreed with you! Did you even read my post!?

Right here I am agreeing with the facts you presented:
4. I'll take your word for it.
Ok, I didn't dispute any of your facts though.

I have also not pointed out any other designers. I even clarified that I was only talking about D&D!
  1. I was speaking within the realm of D&D and...

Finally, this discussion was never about what is good or bad (or what is a good or bad company). This is your quote that I responded too initially.
But ever since they took over D&D, WotC hasn't done anything I'd call interesting or innovative.

You keep discussing your facts (some of which definitely are not), but the question was about interesting and innovative. What is interesting is always going to be a discussion of opinions, not facts. I was interested in your opinion, but this discussion has proven that I shouldn't have been. Time to move on.

On some level, it would be amusing and interesting to see what WoTC borrowed from other TTRPGs and vice versa.

Not everyone that post negative things about Wizbro wants it to fail, many just want them to do a better job managing the IP and tools they are in control of.

Not all criticism is hate, nor is all praise beneficial.
I don't want to drag this thread any more off topic than the current round of argument about borrowed RPG design is already, but I think there is a wide gap between "Hey, the language rules in 2024 are a step backwards, what can be done to fix them?" and "WotC hasn't put out a good D&D product since 2004 and I haven't bought a single one in 21 years. Here is my opinion on the new PHB which I haven't read."

Soooo... What exactly is the flood of all this gatekeeping dressed up as outrage over "complaints" & "anger" if not your specific preferences and wants?
