A new Dungeons & Dragons guidebook is coming out later this year. DK Books has announced The Book of Dragons, a new guidebook featuring the dragons of D&D. The new book is written by Michael Witwer and will be released in August 2025. The 224-page book isn't a rulebook but rather a licensed book that focuses on the lore of dragons. The book is written at least partially from the perspectives of Tiamat and Bahamut.

There have been pictures of him since 1e and 2e.
Do you have any examples? I remember looking when Fizban's came out and I couldn't find much. IIRC, I found one image that I thought might not be fan made, this one (and I am not sure this is an actual TSR image either):

I also came across this pic earlier today. I found it on the Forgotten Realms Wiki. There is another picture of Sardior there as well. Just click on the 1e and 2e picture links. The above pic is the 2e image of Saridor.

But are those from official TSR sources, or just fan-made art, or even just random art picked up on the internet and labeled as Saridor no matter what the original subject was? I'm very suspect of the supposed 1e art, as it's not physiologically a D&D dragon and appears to just be a very shiny wyvern.

I am with @Demetrios1453 here. I find those images of Saridor very suspect (and that is the same site I got my image from). The one I posted seemed to reference an actual product, IIRC, but it wasn't one I was familiar with. I am going to summon @Echohawk to see if they know of an official images of Saridor in a TSR or WotC product.

Honestly, kind of seems to me that the lack of Saridor art over the years may be part of why Saridor is dead in the First World mythos they have gone with.
