GOD RULES: Player's Guide (5e) Kickstarter Pre-Launch Page

Hey Geminisaga777 buddy! :)

Since you made Freeza, it would be cool to have at least 3 characters from famous animes like Yuyu Hashuko, Toguro, Raizen, and the Golden Knights of Saint Seiya, renowned animes...

Well I am currently unfamiliar with those Anime/Characters. However, when I get this book finished I might look into them a bit.

Of course, when you guys have the book in your hands you can always create any character you want! ;)

wow, I would love it so much and Frieza's work is incredible

I appreciate the love buddy - glad you liked Frieza - although I made a mistake* on his Speed it should be 490 ft. per round, but Constant movement (as in double move/run) keeps doubling his speed each round until he reaches 1/3rd Light Speed.

*Was using an old build.

Question about the Freiza statblock, what DR would his post-Granolah Saga Black Frieza form be at,

At least DR 23.

and what would be a rough DPR number for him at that level?

Off the top of my head...with DR 23, base 8000d10 on a punch (before Divine Boons), likely his first Boon being Ultraluminal speed with Dex 80 giving him +7 attacks, so 11 attacks with a Flurry.

Hey there ApollyonFall.

Don't want to pressure, but do you have an estimation of when the kickstarter will fully go live?

Yes, it's mentioned on the page - though I should make it more prominent. Apologies.

Kickstarter Launch date: August 12th running til September 10th.

I think I will have the PDF finished by the end of October. However, I am going to say December (just to give myself a safety net). Only the last three chapters to finish (each currently half finished) but they are proving a bit tricky to close out.

The print versions will be 6-8 weeks after the PDF, although I have seen some give a 4-6 month delay in the print versions via DrivethruRPG. Not sure why? I remember the turnaround from PDF to Print being about 3-4 weeks on Ascension 2023 (my last book - though not a Kickstarter).OF

But DrivethruRPG are themselves suggesting give at least 2 months.

Been really looking forward to the project.

Thanks so much for the interest. Greatly appreciated.

Very Minor update to the Pre-Launch Page, notably the Kickstarter Pricing:

I have lowered the Pricing of the 3 versions very slightly to accommodate Late Pledges:

All the following tiers are PDF + Code for Hardcover at Cost.

Cover A (God Reaper) now = £28 (but £30 for Late Pledges)
Cover B (Kickstarter Exclusive) now = £33 (but £36 for Late Pledges)
Cover C (Artists Sketch Edition, AI free) now = £23 (but £25 for Late Pledges).

Covers A + B Tier still £55 (but now save £6), Late Pledge £60 (save £6*)
Covers A + C Tier still £45 (but now save £6), Late Pledge £50 (save £5*)
Covers B + C Tier still £50 (but now save £6), Late Pledge £55 (save £5*)

Covers A + B + C Tier now £70 (save £14), Late Pledge £75 (save £16*)

*Saving on the Late Pledge individual copies that is.

So individual PDF/Book price has been lowered by £2.

Late Pledge Price is +10% rounded down (more or less the same as the original Price structure.

Eventual Retail Price on DrivethruRPG (for Cover A and Cover C) will be fractionally higher than the Late Pledge price - I'm still keeping an eye on the Exchange Rate.

So the best deal is the Kickstarter price, then the Late Pledge Price, then the eventual Retail Price (the Kickstarter Exclusive cover will not be available at retail). Lower Price Bundles will likely not be available at Retail.

As of right now, not entirely sure how long Late Pledges will run. Possibly just until 30th September, but maybe up until 31st October. I think the earliest I can have the PDF ready is likely to be November BUT I have put December 2025 as the estimated delivery time as a bit of a safety net.

Happy to hear any thoughts on the above?

I think it’s a smart change, people tend to be more inclined to buy when they know (or even just think) they’re getting a deal. You’ll probably secure some more pledges.

I am just trying to give everyone a fair deal amigo. I know RPG books are not cheap (in general) and DrivethruRPG's Printing Costs are a tad high (notably the Premium Quality).

At the same time its 480 pages and 5 years of effort so I have to make a bit from it so I can keep writing.

Going by today's exchange rate (1.33).

PDFs
Artists Sketch Edition £23 = $30.59
God Reaper Cover £28 = $37.24
Kickstarter Exclusive Cover £33 = $43.89

Print Version (Add $37 for Standard Quality)
Artists Sketch Edition $67.59
God Reaper Cover $74.24
Kickstarter Exclusive Cover $80.89
+$6 Shipping to USA

Print Version (Add $60 for Premium Quality)
Artists Sketch Edition $90.59
God Reaper Cover $97.24
Kickstarter Exclusive Cover $103.89
+$6 Shipping to USA

For a Premium Quality book it might be better going to Mixam (but obviously Shipping Rates from the UK to USA are still ridiculous so I am not going to be doing the same as I did with Ascension 2023 - I barely broke even).

Considering how the size of these books, it’s definitely a fair price. Does the print version include a PDF, or is that seperate?

Also, any ideas about the add-ones? (I’m hoping to get that god-reaper miniature.)

Unrelated, since I’ve seen so much of the F4 movie around, i was curious what DR Galactus (comic version) would be, and what DR (if any) would a herald be/gain. I assume a herald would work more as a template.
