The Mummy 4 Is Actually Happening?

Two thoughts, Am I the only one here in the right age bracket to have seen the animated series post-Mummy Returns?

And, will they return to Egypt for this sequel? Or are they going after Atacama desert mummies? The mummies of Guanajuato?

They don’t have a script yet so no one knows. However, it would be about the time of the Suez crisis, so they would either have to write a script dealing with a complex political situation, or go elsewhere. Given the involvement of Israel in that, I think political expedience will send them elsewhere.

I didn’t even realize they made an animated series!

Not saying that, but this series is so obscure nowadays and I think it was never syndicated. Anyway, do you know how or why Imhotep returns in the second season? He kinda came back out of nowhere. (I might have missed a key scene or episode)

Two seasons after the Mummy Returns. The series was a totally different chronology. It started with a preteen Alex donning the amulet of Anubis. The whole first season is the O'Connels fighting Imhotep, then he is beaten. Second season he returns.
