Free League Publishing has announced Twilight Sword, a new collaboration with Italian games studio Two Little Mice. The new game is a fantasy RPG inspired by video games like The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, and Ni No Kuni. Players explore the world of Radia in the game, exploring Landmarks and collecting Hope by defeating bosses. A 16-page preview of the game revealed five Kin that players can choose from, including the Huma, the cat-like Kedi, and the penguin-like Pengu. The preview did not reveal any details about the game system, but there appears to be a focus on exploration and defeating monsters.

One interesting part of this announcement is the collaboration with Two Little Mice. The Italian publisher was purchased by CMON back in 2021 to bolster that company's line of RPGs. However, CMON has had struggles this year, in part due to tariff uncertainty. CMON has sold off several IPs to other studios and has paused new game development to focus on current fulfillment, with many questioning about the publisher's future. Free League also partnered with Two Little Mice to publish Outgunned, so it's unclear whether Two Little Mice has gone independent once again or if this is an arrangement with CMON.

I love everything about this game and want to back it at the highest level, but just don't see how they're going to avoid lawsuits from Nintendo after looking at the previews. I think I'm going to wait this one out till the physical release.

Some rewards are Backerkit exclusive. But this is a risk I'm willing to take.

Next up is a new Way: Way of the Hammer.
Interesting. The icon for it very prominently includes an anvil, but I would imagine crafting and repairing basic weapons and armour to be available to everyone (like cooking), so I'm guessing its feats will include things like repairing for free/reduced cost, increasing durability of items through reinforcing them, maybe combat abilities focused on crowd control like knockdown and stun, or multi-target attacks similar to the Trollo's Big Bonk.

Since they seem to be making a Way for specific weapon types - Sword, Wild for bow, Shield, now Hammer - I wonder if we'll get Way of the Axe to facilitate the berserker type playstyle. Actually kinda surprised it isn't one yet since the Toluna character is wielding one.

Hearts Gems and Dero (dwarves/gnomes that turn to stone) are now unlocked. Next up are Status Cards and a Hope Tracker.

Less than 9 hours left on this Backerkit (backer train not included).

Using an axe may be wrapped under Way of the Blade. Don't know if WotB will have a berserker playstyle though. One of the feat cards we have for WotB does have a feat called Cleave.

Dero got funded quick. Status cards are also unlocked.

Valid point. Forgot it was Way of the Blade, not Sword, and axe is a blade, so you're probably right.

2LM are currently live for the final stretch:

The tracker is funded, Patrons are the next stretch goal @ €700k, and almost certainly going into have entered overtime mode.

Various things in the Outgunned line suggests this is nothing TLM has worried about much to date.

Well, it broke 700k, so Patrons are unlocked, and overtime mode is currently still going.

I wonder if 2LM will ever join the $1M crowdfunding club.

are there any plans for late-backers? Unfortunately this month turned in a way where I just couldn't get the funds together to get in on this
