I'm generally on a couple times per day, so I tend to see the new threads before they get to the next page and become lost.

I look at my Notifications first, then if I have time, look at "What's New" or "Latest Posts".

Mostly through a RSS feed, check out the new threads, and put on 'watch' what I want to follow. Rest through notifications, mostly.
