D&D General Does anyone know which products had Elmore's Dragon Slayers, and Proud Of It! art?

As much as I love that piece of art, it's represents what drove me to stop using wyrmling category dragons in my games. A dragon should be fearsome and majestic, not an overgrown winged alligator.

But it is a great work of art. You can instantly recognize each character's class, their pride in victory, and that it wasn't an easy fight. And that's not to mention the beautiful sky, the light on the tree, the autumnal leaves.

Ever since someone pointed out how the dragons wings don't hang limp like the rest of the body, I can't unsee it.
How are you expecting them to hang limp? Closer to the body? More extended out?

When you hang a bird like a pheasant from the neck the wings are generally not extended out but against the body like they are when it is standing upright.

I am not sure that applies or what should apply to the back wings on a hexapod dragon that is normally horizontal on all fours instead of bipedal and vertical like a pheasant standing around (though pheasants can lean forward when running).

Dragons is right in the name. Yes, big ass dragons are awesome BBEGs. I love city buster dragons. But I also like the idea that the 2nd or 3rd level party can take down their first dragon and enjoy the victory and it's modest hoard. Being someone who grew up with BECMI and AD&D, i totally embrace the idea that dragons are appropriate monsters for ALL levels. But I also love the 2E and 3E power up.
