So, sitting here thinking about it...the DM Adventure portion looks to be ~112 pages. If, as seems probable, Agalrond is the core area for PCs to be based out of, the average length of the regional gazateers in Adventures in Faerun is ~36 pages. Strategic use of the compact DMG short Adventure format would probably help the book punch above it's weight, with some climactic big Dungeons that get more detailed.

For player side material, the main FR PC book already covers the Red Wizards and Rashemeni Wanderer Backgrounds, and the various magic School Backgrounds here along with some others could really help make the region a distinct high magic sub-Setting thst can also be looted for homebrew.
This book isn’t going to have player facing content. This is going to be closer to Dragon Delves than anything else. A brief intro, maybe a unique adventure mechanic like the one player mode blessing in Delves, and then the rest will be adventure.

Player facing crunch will be left to Arcana Unleashed.

Another observation: assuming that is Szass Tam on the standard cover, his forehead tattoos have been changed to include the Covenant of the Grave symbol. These haven’t been portrayed consistently in past illustrations.

This iconography doesn’t just suggest that the PCs might be Thayan, it suggests that they might be associated with Szass Tam’s faction.

Look again. His forehead tattoo is the standard necromancy symbol. The Covenant of the Grave symbol is similar, but the bottom of the symbol curls back up and intertwines with again. Tams tattoo on the cover doesn’t do that.

The factions symbol is clearly inspired by the Necromancy symbol, but it’s isn’t the exact same.

Right, exactly, sorry if that was unclear. I was referring to Adventures in Faerun for this Adventure book, and the PC book for the Supplement. Seems like this split very intentionally mirrors the main FR books.
