As far as I can tell they haven't defined what "broken" means, in this context. It could be as simple as the primary vacuum hose came loose. It's pretty much a fancy vacuum cleaner and without negative pressure, it wouldn't work.
So much for my "just jiggle the handle" joke.
 

But so far so good! Hope they manage to fix the loo if they didn't already! Also bloody Outlook, why on Earth is NASA running Microsoft bloatware on a spaceship! Come on guys! Again, hopefully they fixed it. Gotta be the trans-lunar injection burn pretty soon (I guess a few hours?).
As I understand it, none of the mission-critical software is Microsoft; the stuff that actually runs the mission and keeps the astronauts alive is all stuff written in-house.
 



You would think these companies would have their a-team developers and product folks tasked with just supporting Artemis in what is possibly their biggest moment in the spotlight.
Odds are they were sharing one laptop/tablet and things get weird when people "switch user" instead of logging right out.
