This is an incredible adventure path. Backed it on Kickstarter, got the three-book printed edition, played through the whole thing with my group over several years. Highly recommended.

this ap literally inspired me to start dming so i could develop the skill to run it because i knew i'd never be able to play in it. so. if that doesn't tell you how hard it goes, i dunno what will.

I really like how they approach Skill Challenges. This adventure came out right at the end of 4e, and it's clear they had taken in the problems with the game (much as I love 4e, it had problems - like any game) and made it great.

I've been dithering for past 24 hours on whether to pull the trigger on the print versions on DtRPG. The non-offset versions are on sale right now.

Wow, thanks, that's amazing! Back then I bought the 4E version of the first act and loved to read it but didn't find the time to run it. I loved how the designers used 4E's appraoch to D&D (tactical combat, skill challenges, but also grand narratives, high stakes etc.) and really emphasized all the best parts of it. I really wished Wizards would have done the same with their own adventures, but here we are.
