I started this back before the WOTC forum closed and received some valuable input from folks there. I have since revisited it to add some polish and attempted to re-balance it as a class as a whole.
A few months back, my son said he would like a ninja character. I said "Great, let's make a Way of the Shadow Monk for you." He said "No, not a monk, a ninja." I think he felt that some of the stealth and assassin feel was missing from what he wanted as a ninja class. Also, he had just binged on 'Naruto' on Netflix.
Anyway, here is what I put together for him. It is basically a Monk/Rogue multiclass path with a couple of homebrewed class abilities and capstone ability. It still feels unbalanced to me, especially mid-levels, but it was designed for a seven year old. Feel free to post opinions or constructive criticism.
