    D&D 5E I like 5th Edition! The D&D Next Positivity Thread

Its a play test, I don't expect anything to be perfect, or stay perfect, until the final iteration. As long as they get good feedback I want them to try out everything in as many variations as possible, because that is the only way to get this even close to perfect. So I will put up with any...

Interest in a Deck of Monster Cards?

I think it definitely makes it easier to find the most relevant information.

    D&D 5E I like 5th Edition! The D&D Next Positivity Thread

I can add a negative, the Caves of Chaos map provided SUCKS!! Fortunately a much better one is easily Googled.

    Playtesting in Detail

Its been a very long time, but I think it was a matter of which traits were dominant. So if you look very orc like, you were an orc-men, if you looked more man like you were "Men-orcs". Both were a orc-human hybrid, or maybe just transformed elves where the transformation didn't go far enough to...

    Rouge dipping into Scout

I think it would work best to dip the Scout into the rouge to get good color dispersion.

    Playtesting in Detail

The cavalier has been around since 1E AD&D, so is far closer to being core than "...draconians, warforged, and bladesingers." That is all Mearls means. So "core" is what is closest to original, and the further down the time line something appears, the further away from core it is. So it is...

    D&D 5E I like 5th Edition! The D&D Next Positivity Thread

Its far to soon for me to say what I am going to think of the final version. Right now I am seeing a lot of promising things. I probably also have a different perspective. I got "off the wagon" with 3E, after about 5 years of playing it. I am also very happy with what I have been using since...

D&D 5E Have you moved on yet? Has Wizard's handled this properly?

I see a lot of things interesting and that I could like, but I won't know until I see what the final version will look like. Right now I am guessing I will not be switching to Next, but it is far too early for me to say with anything close to certainty.

Interest in a Deck of Monster Cards?

I like them. Especially the S&W versions and the Dragons "dreath weapon".

D&D 5E Nov 8 Next Q&A: TWF, Manuevers, and Atwill spells

Everyone does realize that they said that in this play test packet: "Keep in mind that the basic two-weapon fighting option is for the untrained person picking up two weapons and taking a swing." It has nothing to do with the Fighter class, it has to do with every single class or creature who...

D&D 5E Nov 8 Next Q&A: TWF, Manuevers, and Atwill spells

I like their explanations on everything. The only thing I do not like is that they are making it sound like Feats will be an integral part of the next rules set. Which doesn't sound like that will make D&D Next terribly modular. Hopefully I will end up wrong when the final version is released.

[Goodman Games] The Dungeon Alphabet 3rd printing in stores now

Yeah, from what I can gather it was never a large print run to begin with. The good thing is that it is probably easier to use it to its fullest potential as a PDF.

While I love the artwork, I much prefer Ultimate Toolbox for hundreds of tables worth of inspiration and DMing help.

so how often do you go above 10th level?

I've done it almost every campaign. In fact one of my current campaigns is at level 9 and it looks like we will go to at least level 13. My other on going campaign, over 7 years old now, is at level 17 and 18. The last campaign prior to the level 9 one went to level 14. As for over the 28+...

I am pretty sure they were done with all major errata. So from now on anything would just be minor spelling corrections that hadn't already been caught, etc...

D&D Next play testing on Roll 20...

Looks like I will be the GM and we will start with the pre gens, then create new PC's as needed. I have the Roll 20 account up. I also have it in "looking for new players", so you could find it that way, or have me give you the direct link.

Heck, I've run all but 3 of the modules mentioned at least once, and I don't recall what art went with each module in most of those.
